I finally downloaded my pictures on to my pc.
see, aren't they ugly? I love the color, but I just wasn't sure I wanted my feet to have that much attention, you know? And, lets face it, as comfy and awesome they are, crocs are hideously ugly. So, I was going to return them and get a pair that were black or maybe navy, so they didn't draw so much attention to themselves. However, I was wearing them around the house(tags still attached, but I concealed them well in the pictures, don't you think?), and I kinda fell in love with them, bright green and all.
...I had some other pictures I was going to share, but I haven't named them and what not yet.

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool - first songs only
Opening Credits - Nothing to Prove - Goldfinger
Waking Up - Pickpocket - At The Drive-in
First Day of School - Stinkfist - Tool (er...this doesn't really work)
Falling In Love - My Girlfriend's Shower Sucks - Goldfinger (this made me laugh...er...wait...girlfriend...interesting)
Fight Song - An Idea for a movie - the vandals (another that doesn't really work..)
Breaking Up - Walking Alone - Green Day (this one kinda works...)
Prom - Spiderwebs - No Doubt (spending prom avoiding phone calls?)
Life is Good - Somewhere out there - Our Lady Peace
Mental Breakdown - Tamburitza Lingua - Ani DiFranco (excellent mental break down song! "and everything seems to have gone terribly wrong that can.." I've always found the song had kind of a slow-chaotic feel. The only more perfect song on my list would have been Unwell - matchbox20 ("I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell..."), but if that came up by chance no one would have believed me and you all would have accused me of being a cheater...lol
Driving - King for a Day - Goldfinger
Flashback - Put Your Lights on - Everlast (that would be some intense flashbacks...)
Getting Back Together - Viewers Like You - Tilt (...right...)
Wedding - Glasshouse - Ani Difranco (uh...ok...two quotes:"Life keeps getting harder, keeps getting harder to hide..." and "..guess that push has come to this so i guess this must be shove, but before you throw those stones at me, tell me what is your house made of? And if you think you know what I'm doing wrong, you're gonna have to get in line, for the purposes of this song lets just say i'm doing fine..." so I've got something to hide, people are judging me, think I'm making the wrong choice, but we're pretending everything's fine...on my wedding day. excellent. lol. I wonder if this has anything to do with the "girlfriend" who's shower sucked in "falling in Love"?
Paying the Dues - Marry Me - No Doubt (one song to late! damn it.)
The Night Before the War - Superhero - Ani Difranco (this doesn't work at all...if this is the song for the night before war, I can tell already, the war is not going to go well..."I used to be a superhero, no one could touch me, not even myself, you were like a phone booth that I some how stumbled into, now look at me, I am just like everybody else..."
Final Battle - Stupid Girl - Garbage (well, at least it's an upbeat song...could be an interesting fight though, if this is the music for it..)
Moment of Triumph - Independence Day - Ani Difranco (this would have been better as the night before the war..."I have your back now you better have mine.." oh well. I guess this is a kind of, we triumphed, but you never really stop fighting sort of this, maybe? I don't know, that doesn't really work either...
Death Scene - Girl Like that - Matchbox 20
Funeral Song - Short Skirt, Long Jacket - Cake
End Credits - History Repeats itself - Pulley
okay, so I don't know about Soundtrack to my life, but if this was a soundtrack for a movie, it would be one wild flick. It opens with a real punk-rockish-I don't have to answer to you, I don't have to answer to anyone! kind of feel durring the opening credits, at least one lesbian relationship, a possibly gay wedding that people think is a bad idea, a final battle with..a stupid girl...and Short Skirt, Long Jacket playing at a funeral...I can't even begin to think of a situation where that would be appropriate.
......I don't know if I'd pay money to see it, but I'd watch it.
How are you ringing in the New Year tonight?
You know, I really don't know. I don't make plans, and we haven't really discussed it...which makes me think that the we don't have any plans. Meh. If something comes up, it comes up, if it doesn't, it doesn't. We've got all kinds of booze, so what ever happens, it should be blurry.
Awesome Customer Quote of the Day:
"My internet hasn't worked since tomorrow.....I mean yesterday."
oh good. I was starting to get a bit freaked out...
We got a Miracle Blender for Christmas from My brother and his girlfriend. A Miracle Blender is just like a Magic Bullet, but not. My cups don't have handles. and I think The Magic Bullet comes with more stuff, at least some of which you
probably wouldn't use much anyway. Today, I finally tried it out and Made a wicked smoothie. I had to go to the store and get milk, yogurt, and fruit(so, yes, every necessary ingredient to make a smoothie..), but it was totally worth it. Plus, now I have 2 kg(minus a 1/2 cup) of mixed berries in my freezer, which can never be a bad thing. I think my point is, I love my Miracle Blender, and now I'll need to make some sort of Mixed Berry Daiquiri. The reason I haven't posted any of my new pictures today, is that the boyfriend took my camera rabbit hunting, and wont be back untill after I leave for work. So I wont be getting the pics off it before I leave. It's totally not my fault this time.
I see links to Gawker all the time. I never click on them. why? who knows. It's easiest to blame it on laziness. I don't know if that's the real reason, but - just to point something else out - laziness is the reason I list laziness as the main reason that I don't do things, all the time.. Which is kind of funny if you think about it real hard. maybe.
...oh man work is dull tonight...er, sorry about most of that paragraph...
anyway, to get back on point, today, I actually clicked on one of those links, and was amazed by the sheer awesomeness that is gawker.
The article was about clichés in blog-media, and I loved it. I love that I use some of them, mostly because they're so awful they make me laugh, and I'm not changing, so there. But mostly I loved it for this one sentence: it signals a level of smarmy superiority that would get you rightly punched in the face if you dared behave like that in person.
In a pear tree quiz at mental floss.
my results:
You scored 2/5 or 40% of questions answered correctly.
The average score for this quiz is 35.9% from the 3341 people who took it.
I'm above average! these results are incredibly sad! lol
I mentioned the new camera I got for christmas. well, with it, I got a 512MB memory card. Which, you think, would be enough. Well, I almost filled it in two days just taking pictures of random crap around my house and at My aunts on christmas day. Which is fine and all, since I hardly go anywhere ever, but what if I went away for a week? Or, more likely, I'm too lazy to take the pictures off before I take more pictures?! So, at wallmart for this week, for boxing week sales, they had a 4 pack of 512 memory cards on for (approx.)$40CDN. FORTY DOLLARS FOR FOUR. That's 10 bucks a pop. what a fantastic deal. So now I have 5 512 MB memory cards. My boyfriend looked at me like I'm crazy. and maybe I am. But I can't pass up a good deal. I also got a 100-pack of memorex DVD -R's for $17-something, which isn't a great deal, but it's a good deal. There was a 50-pack of CDs on for the same price, but I could see them and was tired of looking. I hate crowds. Actually, that's not true. I hate crowded stores. and bars. Otherwise, crowds are ok.
speaking of too lazy to take the picture off my camera, maybe I'll actually get around to doing that eventually, and if any of them are any good, I'll post them. :) I bought batteries today too, so the camera actually turns on again. ...I know! I'll show you the super ugly but incredibly comfortable crocs I got from my parents! They're so bright, and so ugly...actually, I'll just wait and let the pictures do the talking. You'll see. I'll post them tomorrow if I get a chance.
....45 minutes left in my shift, and I'm not dead yet! I think I just might make it. :)
